Catherine Kasavuli spoke to the Nairobian,
to bring to light what really transpired that led to this scandal that has hovered over her reputation for decades.
She says that she didn’t know the musician by the time the rumors started leave alone dating him. Explaining that "A senior politician's daughter was wedding and they invited Kanda Bongo Man to perform. Unfortunately, Kanda Bongo Man's visa had expired. I was reading news when he was getting kicked out and I have no clue how my name ended up there, It is the price I had to pay for being in the limelight."
